History

Laem Krating is in Karon Subdistrict, between Nai Harn and Nui beaches. It is a grassy hill beside a sea cliff. The recommended visiting time is in the evening, from 16:00 onward, for sunset views. A popular photo feature is a large rock shaped like a sailboat, with a pointed peak aimed skyward and jutting toward the sea. It has become a symbol of Laem Krating, where visitors take photos among the grassy hills in the evening light as the sun sets.
