Chao Pho Phraya Lae Shrine

History
The shrine stands beside Nong Pla Thao. A large tamarind tree by the water is said to mark the place where Chaophraya Lae was killed by Vientiane soldiers in B.E. 2369. In B.E. 2511, Chaiyaphum residents joined together to build the shrine to Phraya Phakdi Chumphon and install his cast statue inside for people to pay their respects.
