History

Ban Na Yang Glug is in Thep Sathit District, an area also known as Chao Dong. The community is known for beautiful handwoven silk, including Dok Krachiao flower patterns. Residents raise their own silkworms, boil the cocoons and reel the silk threads one by one. They then bleach, twist and tie-dye the thread with natural colors. Once dry, the yarn is woven on traditional looms into colorful fabrics in a range of patterns.
