History

Wat Thammakosok, also known as Wat Rong Ko, was built in the early Rattanakosin period on Si Uthai Road in Uthai Mai Subdistrict, near the municipal market. It was once used for the oath-taking ceremony of Uthai Thani officials and as an execution ground for prisoners. The temple’s ordination hall also dates to the Rattanakosin period.
