Wat Tham Pha Daen

History
The temple is in Dong Mafai Subdistrict on the Phu Phan mountain range. The source describes it as a centuries-old temple with shady grounds, trees and large rocks suited to meditation. Several well-known forest-tradition meditation monks, including Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta Thera, are said to have spent Buddhist Lent and practised here. In B.E. 2550 (2007), the abbot, Phra Ajahn Pakorn Kantaviro, developed the temple as a meditation centre and a Buddhist tourism destination to encourage more people to visit.
