Wat Ratchaburana

History
Wat Ratchaburana stands on the east bank of the Nan River, south of Wat Phra Si Mahathat. Its ordination hall has graceful 3-headed naga decorations along the eaves. Based on the temple’s name, it may have been built by a king; it is believed to date from the reign of King Borommatrailokkanat, who lived in Phitsanulok for 25 years and played a major role in supporting Buddhism there.
