History

One notable feature is an ancient chedi of a type found at only three temples in Chiang Mai: Wat Puag Hong, Wat Ram Poeng, and Wat Chedi Plong. The chedi has a round form. The temple also preserves old Dhamma manuscripts about spirit beliefs and a text referred to as Mula Sasana.
