Wat Kho Hong

History
Wat Kho Hong, also called Wat Ban Ko, was visited by King Chulalongkorn during a northern royal tour on 12 August 1906 (R.S. 125; B.E. 2449). He paid respects to the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall and to Luang Pu Kan, then the abbot. The King admired a standing Phra Sangkajai image with its hands over its belly; the image displayed today was made as its replacement.
