History
Songkhla Lake is described in the source as Thailand’s only natural lake. It receives water from the Banthat and Sankalakhiri mountain ranges, as well as streams that converge before flowing into the Gulf of Thailand. The lake extends about 80 kilometres north from its estuary and is about 20–25 kilometres wide at its broadest point.
