History

Sacred Heart Cathedral is in Chang Khlan Subdistrict, on the west bank of the Ping River. It was first established in 1931 (B.E. 2474) by Father George Mirabel and a Thai priest, Father Nicholas. Together they built a small wooden chapel for Christian worship in Chiang Mai and the North.
