Wat Phra That Suphan Hong

History
Wat Phra That Suphan Hong is in Ban Wan, Nam Kham Subdistrict. The community once had no village temple, so residents walked to Wat Ban Nam Kham for religious ceremonies. In B.E. 2541 (1998), villagers discussed building a temple in Ban Wan, using land and funds donated by residents. After construction, before it received a royal boundary designation (wisung kham sima), it was called Ban Wan Monastic Residence. In June B.E. 2552 (2009), Buddha relics were brought to the temple. Villagers then agreed on the name Wat Phra That Suphan Hong to reflect the religious site they had built.
