Phu Thok
History
In Isan, Phu Thok means “isolated mountain.” Located at Ban Kham Khaen in Na Sabaeng Subdistrict, this sandstone mountain can be seen from a distance and consists of Big Phu Thok and Little Phu Thok. The area was once dense forest with abundant wildlife. Achan Chuan Kullachettho, a meditation monk in the lineage of Achan Man Bhuridatto, established a meditation site here because of its quiet setting.
