Phra Prang Sam Yot

History
Phra Prang Sam Yot stands on a mound west of the railway, near San Phra Kan. Its three prangs are arranged in a row and joined by a passageway. The monument is in the Bayon style of Khmer art and dates to around the 18th Buddhist century. It is built of laterite and decorated with stucco. The door-frame columns are carved with kneeling hermits beneath ruean kaeo canopies, a distinctive feature of Bayon Khmer art. The central prang has a base; a Buddha image was originally enshrined there, and the wooden ceiling is painted with a red star pattern.
