History
At the Pho Khun Pha Mueang intersection stands a metal statue of the ruler of Rat, shown standing with a sword pointed into the ground in his right hand and his left hand pointing downward. Pho Khun Pha Mueang is described as having helped establish the Sukhothai Kingdom around B.E. 1800.
