Laem Samila

History
Laem Samila is south of Laem Son On. A road runs along the beach beneath shady rows of pine trees. On the shore is a mermaid statue seated on a rock, known as the “Golden Mermaid” and considered a symbol of the beach. A short distance away are statues of a cat and a mouse, telling the legend of Ko Nu and Ko Maew, islands clearly visible from Samila Beach.
