History

The reserve is 15 km from Tha Mai District. The page says the forest had been encroached on 40 years earlier and that pioneer trees have since grown in place of the original trees. Four forest types occur here: dry evergreen, mixed deciduous, beach, and mangrove. A nature trail passes a viewpoint overlooking Chao Lao Beach and the Kham Nu estuary and takes about one hour.
