Khao Noi Si Chompu Castle

History
This ancient Khmer archaeological site is described as historically significant to Sa Kaeo. It is thought to have been built around the 12th–13th centuries of the Buddhist Era as a Hindu religious site, before later receiving Buddhist influence. The sanctuary stands on a small hill in quiet natural surroundings. Its remaining Khmer-style architecture is described as reflecting the former civilization’s prosperity, and the site is considered an important historical and archaeological destination in eastern Thailand.
