Erawan Museum

History
Erawan, or the three-headed elephant, is a freestanding sculpture made by hand-forming metal through hammering. The page describes this as the first technique of its kind in the world. The sculpture consists of hundreds of thousands of copper pieces, the smallest about the size of a palm; each piece was heated to soften it and then carefully hammered into place.
