Bang Nara Estuary

History
The Bang Nara River is a principal river in Narathiwat Province. Its basin runs parallel to the eastern coastline and the river is about 60 kilometres long, passing through Mueang Narathiwat and Tak Bai districts. It reaches the sea by two routes: one flows into the Gulf of Thailand at the river mouth in Mueang Narathiwat, while the other joins the Su-ngai Kolok River before reaching the sea in Tak Bai District, on the Thailand–Malaysia border.
